Installation of jaspa driver in gvSIG GIS Desktop

This driver makes the original gvSIG PostGIS driver to be compatible with Jaspa. It does not install a new driver.

1)
Install the gvSIG software from http://www.gvsig.org/web/
Check gvSIG is running properly.

2)
Locate the bin directory under the gvSIG installation directory. 
Copy the gvsigpatch.zip file into this directory.

3)
Unzip the gvsigpatch.zip file. Normally the computer will ask you about permission to overwrite the files. You must answer yes.
If the computer does not ask you about permissions then you should check if you have unzipped the patch in the correct directory.  

4) Run gvSIG and make a new connection to a PostGIS database, at this moment gvSIG will understand Jaspa for PostgreSQL spatial databases.
PostGIS databases will keep working too.
 
 
Important note: the gvSIG patch version used MUST be identical to the installed gvSIG version.
so far, the supported gvSIG versions are: gvSIG 1.11
